Uses DTrace. .SH SYNOPSIS .B dnlcstat [interval [count]] .SH DESCRIPTION The DNLC is the Directory Name Lookup Cache. Filename lookups often return a hit from here, before needing to traverse the regular file system cache or go to disk.
