The default database mirror is <TT><A NAME="tex2html31" HREF="database.clamav.net">database.clamav.net</A></TT> but multiple directives are allowed. In order to download the database from the closest mirror you should configure <code>freshclam</code> to use <TT><A NAME="tex2html32" HREF="db.xx.clamav.net">db.xx.clamav.net</A></TT> where xx represents your country code.
